Achieving university status in 1956, they expanded further by acquiring the Vanderbilt-Twombly estate in Madison in 1957, now known as the Florham Campus.
In 1965, FDU broadened its global presence by acquiring Wroxton College from Trinity College at Oxford University, becoming the first American University to own a campus in England. This international expansion continued in 2007 when FDU started offering classes in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
